Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-06

1. The service

Svrnclerk retrieves bank account information from licensed Account Information Service Providers (AISPs) at your instruction, normalizes it and delivers it to you — encrypted to a key you control — for use in your own bookkeeping tools. Svrnclerk does not provide accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and does not move money.

2. Your account and consent

You must be entitled to access the bank accounts you connect. Access is granted by your bank through the AISP for a limited period; you are responsible for renewing or revoking that consent. You must keep your account credentials and encryption private key safe: we cannot decrypt your data, so a lost private key means lost access to delivered envelopes.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to access accounts you are not authorised to access, to violate the terms of your bank or AISP, or to break the law.

4. Availability

The service is provided on a best-effort basis. It depends on third parties (your bank, the AISP, hosting and email providers) and may be interrupted; scheduled ingest may be delayed. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

5. Fees

Any subscription fees are shown before you subscribe. Svrnclerk is operated on a cooperative ethos: surplus above costs is redistributed to members.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by your bank, the AISP, connectivity, or your own loss of the private key used to receive deliveries. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service and disconnect your banks at any time; on request we erase your account data and destroy your encryption key.

8. Contact and governing law
